Benefits of Ginger and Lemon Tea

The Benefits of ginger and lemon tea are indisputable for a healthy early morning tea.   I have it every single morning on an empty stomach and consider it to be my ‘coffee’. It wakes my system up and gets everything moving!

How to make your Ginger and Lemon Tea

Serves 1

Cut and peel a one and half inch piece of ginger

Juice half a lemon

Add one cup of boiling water to a blender (like a Nutribullet) and blend the ginger so it becomes ginger water.  Add to a teapot with a strainer. (To get the full benefits from the ginger you need to break it down into the water)

Add the lemon juice to your cup

Pour the hot ginger water from the teapot into your cup with the lemon

Add a sweetner if required.  (If using honey, wait until the tea has cooled a little)

If you’ve got a cold or flu, add a twist of black pepper!
