Due to the current world situation, at this moment in time, travel has become difficult.
In this day and age of always being on the move, we’re constantly craving to ‘go somewhere’.
Now the universe has decided that we all need to stay put at our respective home.
All our well meaning plans to go on a retreat have been disturbed.
Usually I run retreats at my wellbeing hub in Italy.
As you can’t now physically come to Italy, I’m offering a different kind of retreat.
For this retreat, you just put the dates in your diary, create the space in your home and dedicate the time to your personal wellbeing.
Sessions include various breath work, yoga and theory to help you recover from exhaustion, stress and sleep deprivation.
The content and sessions will be similar to my in person retreats, but they will be delivered on Zoom.
Zoom makes it possible to do it all live so we can still experience personal sharing and input.
The beauty of participating in a guided home retreat is that you probably wouldn’t do it on your own.

Join the staycation retreat
I’ve been passionate about natural healing ever since my twenties when I was a fitness instructor. As the years rolled on, I realised that I didn’t need to pound the streets, or lift weights in the gym to be healthy, what I needed was balance. I found that balance through yoga, breathing and Ayurveda. In fact, it changed my life.
I went from a seasoned insomniac to someone who sleeps normally and feels amazing most of the time using the tools I’m teaching now.
Many people asked me about how I used the breath to take away the prison of insomnia, so I decided to write a book which I’ve recently published, ‘Breathe Better, Sleep Better’. I wanted to share one of the most important lessons I learned about life through the breath. The more you try to control the breath, the more you restrict the breath. You get less not more. That applies to life too. In order to be healthy and sleep well, you need more space, less control and to be more present.
One of the fundamental reasons I started running retreats was because I realised that people needed the space and time to let go of the stress they accumulate through sleep deprivation and over work. It’s very difficult to do it alone and it becomes too tempting to turn to drugs for respite from sleeplessness.
I believe that health and good sleep is possible when you are in balance. You don’t need drugs. The only way to achieve balance is to learn how to make the right lifestyle choices and rituals that keep you healthy.
Currently, I’ve been developing a special five step process for sleep and wellbeing transformation using the principles of Ayurveda which I share on my retreats. Another book is brewing!

Dr Sian Lewis - Digestive health specialist
Sian is the creator of The Zenith Method program for optimal gut health, and author of the gut health blog LIVE.LOVE.WELL (livelovewell.co.uk). She is also a Senior Commissioning Editor for the highly cited scientific journal Nature Reviews Neuroscience. With a 20-year editorial career in science publishing, Sian is skilled at distilling and simplifying complex scientific advances into bite-sized chunks.
Sian spent many years battling gut issues and severe fatigue caused by an undiagnosed parasite infection and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (‘SIBO’). When the medical profession could not help, she used her knowledge of human physiology and a ‘deep dive’ into the latest scientific research into gut health and disease to ‘biohack’ her way back to health. The insight gained from this transformation served as the inspiration and foundation of The Zenith Method, which provides a structured protocol to re-align our diet and lifestyle with our body and mind for gut healing and optimum digestive health.
Sian has a broad knowledge of brain, gut and metabolic health and how diet and lifestyle are powerful tools to restore – and maintain – optimal wellbeing. She brings much-needed critical insight and scientific rigour to the wellness space.
